My Handsome Prince

Yesterday at lunch the topic of discussion was Charity and Levi's wedding....as it typically is as of late.

Charis leaned over and said, "Keira, who do you want to marry?" and with eloquence and excitement she says, "A handsome prince!" We all started chuckling as she followed that with, "My daddy". ....and now we all know why little girls melt their daddy's hearts. And their mom's for that matter!

(These pictures are of Keira as the flower girl at Charis' wedding when she was 18 months old). She is now anxiously awaiting to be the flower girl in Charity's wedding!

Summary of Spring Time 2012 thus far-

What Our Spring Has Been Like...

In one word, it has been BUSY! Here is a bit of a photo journal on it. ;) 

Keira was being "Papa Steve" at dinner. She has gotten so grown up in the past couple weeks!

Our AWANA Sparkies- we made coffee filter flowers last week as a fun end of year craft (that could double as a Mother's Day gift. ;) 

Austin's Graduation! He is DONE, and we are SO Happy and Proud of him. It was a long two days of  festivities- but Keira and Lainey did a very good job of staying quiet throughout all the ceremonies. 

We started rice cereal with Lainey this weekend. She loves it and is doing great (just over 4 months old!)

Keira is great at helping Daddy get into shape. ;) He is training for the Warrior Run in June. I have also signed up for some runs in the Omaha metro this summer- I signed up so that I am forced to get back into running!

Looking for a new home for Mr. Kenai. He is so darn cute though- I hardly know if I can part  with him!

Lainey and Keira went to their first prom last night! We visited Auntie Faith at Sr. Prom. Keira was in complete awe of all the dresses and just stood and stared the whole time. 

Lainey (4 months) has started reaching for her toys and really improving her hand/eye contact. 

Keira loves to do crafts! Her new saying when she wants to do crafts is "Mom I wanna be an artist right now. " 

Keira called the hot tub "the little lake" versus the "Big lake" which was the swimming pool. This was on our trip to Oklahoma to visit Uncle Cody.

It was a busy Graduation Weekend!! Our joint celebration at Pizza Ranch for Blake, Grant, Charity, Levi, and Austin.

Keira got her face painted for the first time at our MOPS picnic. She requested a "Princess (PAHRIS ) Crown"

Maya and Keira are so much alike and have a great time together- although they have a few arguments since they are both very overtly the first born (and independent). We went to the Fontanelle Forest- and ended up getting a membership- so we can go back to the trails with Daddy some!

One of our FAVORITE activities- an evening bike ride around the neighborhood. :) 

We make frequent stops at the park on our walks- Keira calls this park "Her park"

Lainey is four months!!

That's right folks! My baby is already a third of a year old. :( time flies! Bye- bye newborn!!

She is developing such a personality!!

Mad screams! She hollers at me if I walk out of the room when she wants something.

Teething like crazy! She will about bite your fingers off, but none have popped through yet.

The stats: (sorry- I know it's boring. It's my way on keeping medical records. ;)
Eating 4-5 oz every 4 hrs
Still in size 1 diapers
Weight: don't know- we are headed to docs next week
Lenghth: don't know- we are headed to docs next week

Still doesn't sleep through night. Wakes up around 3 am and 6 am.

Loves attention!! She smiles huge and coos and talks like crazy when you look at her and speak to her.

Loves to sit up. We just got the Bumbo out- and she loves it!!

She is loving to lay on her playmat and pull at toys. Starting to get bored now and needs to be entertained.

Rice cereal- since she is eating do much and do often I think she is still hungry. We plan to start cereal tomorrow- pics to follow!!

First road trip- we went to visit Uncle Cody in Oklahoma this past weekend.

It was a 7 hr drive and she did pretty good until the very end- she just screamed because she wanted OUT of that seat!!

First trip to zoo- she loved being outside and was happy as long as she was sitting up and could see!

Exersaucer- we just started using that as well. She is still a bit small for it, but once again- likes looking out.

She loves to spend time and hang out with big sis Keira.
